The University and the School of Education have worked to strengthen the commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion as evidenced by the statement from the Chancellor’s Office and the Dean’s Office. The LIS Department has made strides in recruiting underrepresented groups to the student body with over 20% of the graduate students identifying as BIPOC.    We invite applications from candidates with a demonstrated commitment to the advancement of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the context of their respective disciplinary area. The candidate’s commitment to the promotion of EDI may be reflected in one or more areas including, but not limited to, teaching and other forms of dissemination of information that promotes a more inclusive and equitable society, the promotion of equity and inclusion within professional communities and professional practices associated with specific disciplinary fields, the cultivation of knowledge advancing equity and supporting more diverse and inclusive communities, and interdisciplinary scholarship that resides at the nexus of EDI and other disciplinary areas.

We ask that all applicants include a Diversity Statement with their application package.
